In order to draw the true knowledge out of the religious scriptures, i.e. Quran and Ahadith of the 14 infallibles, it is necessary to know Arabic grammar. The book which has been taught in this course ("بدائة النحو" ) ,written by Safai al-Bushehri) is a comprehensive study of the Arabic syntax where students learn the Arabic sentence structure.

Note: The assignments of Lesson 64 & 65 are brought in assignment 65 and 74 & 75 in 75.

Sheikh Mohammad Baghernejad was born in Tehran, Iran. He moved to the US when he was 15 years old and studied in Justice High School in Falls Church, VA. Living in the US helped him to understand the American culture and feel the great need to introduce Islam to the West.

After his graduation in 2005, he moved back to Iran where he started his seminary studies. Sheikh Mohammad attended Ayatollah Mojtahedi Seminary for 4 years in Tehran. Then he migrated to Qom and studied in private seminaries for 5 years. He has also studied 2 years in Najaf. He benefited from the remarkable scholars and Maraji’ in these cities.

Sheikh Mohammad has given numerous lectures on Islamic issues in Iran, United Kingdom, and the United States. He has also written two books about Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) in the Farsi language. He’s currently the resident ‘Alim of Imam Ali Center in Springfield, Virginia, the CEO of Imam Sadiq Online Seminary , Academy, and advisor to the 2nd Chance Books Organization.

  • Assalam Alaykum, Is there a chart available for masculine/ feminine near, middle and remote (singular, dual and plural) for 'specific demonstrative pronoun' (Ism Ishara khas)? In lesson 14 the sheikh has asked to make one, I want to make sure if I have got it correct because feminine dual and plural is a little confusing. Thanks

  • What is the best way I can start to increase my Arabic vocabulary along with these courses?

  • Salam Un Alaikum Agha, In the end of lecture 2 معرفته الكلمات وانواعها you have mentioned 8 different categories of Ism (Noun) which I couldn't find in the chapter. Please mention where can I find these categories. Secondly can we get an English translation of this book so that if we find any difficult word of Arabic in the book so we can refer to the translation and get the meaning by ourselves. JazakAllah

  • 1. What does the word البناہ means 2. Secondly the book has some incomplete sentences or the sentences read by sheikh are more ellaborated then in the book and when you scroll down the page the sentence is given on bottom. So can you please upload the book from which sheikh reads.

  • Salaam. Once again, beautiful website and service, thank you so much. However, it's natural for the student to want to know more about their teachers and specifically their academic backgrounds, so it would be wonderful if this site can include a section where the bios and educational background info of the teachers are displayed.

  • Salaam Shaykna, I just discovered this site properly today. MashaAllah beautiful initiative! 1) Question question, when it comes to learning Nahw and Sarf, what do I learn first? Is on a pre-requisite for the other? Do I learn Nahw first and then Sarf? Or is it that it doesn't actually matter and I can learn both together at the same time, so in parallel? 2) Secondly, what's the difference between learning Islam from traditional/classical texts/books and learning Islam from modern books? What type of books are used here and what type are used in the seminary in Qom and Najaf? Feedback: -None of the books are downloadable right now. When you click dook, a download starts but the file is empty... -For some of the assignments, the format of the response options seem to be displaying improperly...
